Since joining Lloyds Banking Group in late 2016 Aline has led strategic work to define a new approach to the use of data to enable all areas of business. In addition, she had led the formation of a strong professional engineering leadership for core run the bank systems
Lloyds Banking Group announced last week a £3 billion investment strategy, which includes plans to simplify and modernise the data at the heart of the business.
Aline has a strong focus on data and information and leads the Lloyds group big data team and its data platforms. Hayes says she is focusing on: “The development of a transformative vision for information, with Big Data at its core. This will be an ambitious multi-year programme.”
Aline is also leading a review of the engineering approaches to sourcing and “ingesting data so as to accelerate time to value”. The business technology leader is also driving the adoption of “agile engineering principals.
On a wider remit, Aline is also helping with the delivery critical business programmes, identifying blockers in the business and its processes and using data and technology to resolve these challenges. Aline is also working closely with the off-shore partners of Lloyds Banking Group on increased business benefits and finds time to help the bank attract and retain talent.
